Interreg, a key part of Cohesion policy, has unique characteristics such as cross-border partnerships supporting trust-building cooperation projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Throughout 2024, Interreg programmes are invited to consult their stakeholders, beneficiaries and citizens on the future of Interreg.&nbsp;<strong>The aim<\/strong>&nbsp;is to find out what are the major obstacles for cooperation, on what topics cooperation is more needed, or what novelty they would like to see in the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are part of this process<\/strong>&nbsp;and are already at work.&nbsp;To gather opinions, suggestions and reflections, we will conduct a twofold consultation process engaging:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stakeholders<\/strong>: including local communities, Programme actors, beneficiaries (former and current) and potential beneficiaries, leveraging their expertise and past experiences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Citizens<\/strong>: living in the Area with specific attention to the young people and youth organizations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After gathering feedbacks from all Interreg programmes, DG REGIO will prepare post-27 proposals for Interreg Regulations &amp; Programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Your involvement is paramount in shaping the future of Interreg beyond 2027. They were available in Slovenian and Croatian to facilitate participation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The public consultation was open from August 8 to September 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Based on your feedback, we submitted a report to the European Commission by December 31, 2024, ensuring that your voice will help shape the future of Interreg programmes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can read the
