to reduce the effects of climate changes and the risks of extreme weather events and erosion, while maintaining a permanent soil fertility by introducing appropriate measures; the introduction of useful plants in the olive groves, which will, due to the increased presence of predators reduce the risk of breeding pests, and identify beneficial organisms; exchange of expert knowledge and joint action of experts on olive growing and nature protection in the border area; education of experts and the transfer of good practices from other Mediterranean areas of olive cultivation; training farmers in lectures, workshops, visits to best practices in cross-border area; increasing user awareness about the quality of olive oil through education and tasting; the establishment of cross-border networks among institutions which are operating in the field of agriculture, rural development and nature protection;
