The partners have executed shared actions for the improvement of energetic efficiency and the protection of the environment on the cross-borders area. Within the project, the partners performed the following activities: examine the state of technology in the field of lamps and bulbs for street lighting and the illumination of cultural monuments, with emphasis on the color of light, on utilization rate and influences on the environment, globally and in cross-border regions;<span lang=\"en-GB\"> analysed the legislative criteria and demands from culturally protected city centres; made a draft of Croatian decree about threshold values of light pollution, that would be suitable to the Croatian Government, to establish procedures for accepting the proposal of change of the Slovene decree; implemented an energy review of public lighting systems in Kr\u0161ko, in the Municipality of Kidri\u010devo, Jastrebarsko and Zapre\u0161i\u010d; created a demonstration line on the level of one street in the area of the Municipality of Kr\u0161ko and in the town of Zapre\u0161i\u0107; performed the necessary measurement of lighting before, during and after the completion of the street lighting demonstration project; printed a Technical manual about lamps, bulbs and the regulation of public lighting in accordance with the demands of the European standard in both the Croatian and Slovenian language; organized at least six workshops about energy efficient public lighting in Slovenia and Croatia; carried out site inspections of public lighting systems; connected the municipalities with the GREENLIGHT <\/span><span lang=\"sl-SI\">(<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/regea.org\/greenlight\/\"><span lang=\"sl-SI\">http:\/\/regea.org\/greenlight\/<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span lang=\"sl-SI\">); <\/span>created a website, bilingual brochure, promo flyer, DVD film, published articles in professional literature, collections, newspapers, local TV stations, portals, and organized a press conference about the project.
