This has led to the promotion of volunteering and self-organized capacities, and with the effective use of human and other sources, contribute to the lowering of negative effects of demographic changes. In this way, the project has allowed local and regional actors to face the cross-border challenges together with their partners. Specific cross-border objectives of the project were: to improve communication and cooperation activities of socially excluded groups and processes of social functioning; preparation\u00a0of target groups\u00a0in\u00a0an active and independent\u00a0learning and\u00a0obtaining information\u00a0for efficient use of\u00a0human resources; increase\u00a0self-esteem\u00a0and\u00a0a positive\u00a0evaluation\u00a0of all\u00a0project participants; investing in\u00a0knowledge, innovation\u00a0and\u00a0human resources development,\u00a0based on informal and formal\u00a0lifelong learning; development of\u00a0positive values\u00a0\u200b\u200bat the level of\u00a0intergenerational cooperation, based on\u00a0ethical\u00a0principles,\u00a0universal\u00a0responsibility\u00a0and\u00a0volunteerism;
