Partners from Croatia are: Retirement home Kantrida Rijeka and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. Associated partners are the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, and the Croatian Ministry of Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy.<\/p>\n<p>The project STAR addresses common challenges: aging population, which is typical for the entire area of the programme, and increased need for social care services; inequalities in access to quality social services and low level of efficiency, as well as the untapped potential of social welfare institutions for cross-border cooperation.
