Throughout its operation, since 1990, the mechanism has demonstrated that borders are not barriers and that it has succeeded in connecting Europeans to address common challenges and create new opportunities for cross-border cooperation.<\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<p>On this occasion, the European Commission published a document containing basic information about the program over the last 30 years, and among the eight successful stories of the program, the European Commission also included a project of the Interreg V-A Slovenia-Croatia Carnivora Dinarica cooperation program, funded by the program in the amount of \u20ac 1,983,897.45.<\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<p>Protecting biodiversity and ecosystems knows no boundaries, which is why Interreg is the right instrument to tackle environmental challenges, the European Commission has assessed. Namely, Slovenia and Croatia share a large area of \u200b\u200btransboundary, dense forests, which are habitats for important populations of brown bear, wolf and Eurasian lynx. Project partners from both sides of the border are actively working to conserve these populations and their habitats through the joint Interreg project Carnivora Dinarica. The European Commission estimates that such cross-border cooperation ensures that biodiversity and ecosystems will be conserved.<\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<p>The entire document can be viewed via the link: <a
