Project summary
Main objective of the project was to increase the capacity of Croatian and Slovenian pupil/student–innovators and their competitiveness on the open market and to establish cooperation between pupil/student–innovators and the private and public sector in Croatia and Slovenia through facilitating of knowledge and experience exchange. Through this project pupil/student–innovators in Croatian-Slovenian cross-border region gained the knowledge and experience to protect and commercialise their ideas or inventions. As well, they gained knowledge how to establish cooperation with other stakeholders (enterprises, educational institutions, research and development institutions, financial institutions, potential investors and public bodies). Through that, pupil/student–innovators from Croatia and Slovenia became desirable employers or employees and efficient entrepreneurs.

Through awareness raising campaign targeting the private and public sector about the potential of pupil/student–innovators and through networking activities, stakeholders from the public and private sector were informed about pupil/student–innovators, and their ideas and opportunities. Improved communication and exchange of knowledge and experience has result in the development of existing or new technologies, new markets and consumer trends. Through this project, 1 education program was developed. After the education, pupils/students innovators were ready to became the carriers of future innovative and sustainable development. In this way the project helped in the creation of educational standards for pupil/student innovators, which improves the entrepreneurial skills of pupils/students innovators and enhance the entrepreneurial climate in the cross-border area. Also, with the help of this project, standards for networking of business partners from Croatia and Slovenia were developed. With these standards, the exchange of know-how and experience in the cross-border area was encouraged. The Joint Internet technology market, cooperation meetings, Innovation days, Internet forums and web portal enabled interested stakeholders from Croatia and Slovenia to exchange experience and know-how, search for partners and monitor demand and supply in the cross-border market.
