Project summary
The specific objectives of cross-border operations were: development of cross-border cooperation between SMEs, educational, research and development organizations, in order to improve business innovation and technology and to stimulate economic growth, competitiveness and cross-border business cooperation; establishment of self-employment opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship in rural areas, with emphasis on rural and sustainable tourism; raising awareness, identifying market opportunities and potential and acquiring new skills for the development of self-employment and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on rural and sustainable tourism; knowledge transfer and information exchange in the region; promoting the growth of SMEs providing additional employment and reducing the brain drain from rural areas to cities. This objective will be achieved by encouraging new business formation and growth of existing SMEs; creation of support services for the improvement of cross-border business cooperation and joint marketing. This objective will be achieved by encouraging networking, upgrade on Bank of Tourism Potentials in Slovenia, producing guidelines for the marketing of joint products and by proposal of the model for symbiotic marketing and branding.
