Specific cross-borders objectives of the operation were: joint Slovenian-Croatian methodology for inventarization of aquatic biotopes, joint Slovenian-Croatian methodology for sustainable protection of aquatic biotopes, joint Slovenian-Croatian interactive on-line database of aquatic biotopes in the border

Regions, inventarization and marking of pilot water biotopes in border regions, raising awareness of local community about the importance of aquatic biotopes through workshops and tours for school children, promoting conservation of aquatic biotopes through joint Slovenian-Croatian photography

Exhibition. Investing IPA funds achieved a positive effect on biodiversity and landscape diversity, as well as on the economic situation of the area through sustainable management of aquatic habitats. The added value of invested assets is reflected in the following results: improvement of protection of specific aquatic biotopes and conservation of biological and landscape diversity through the implementation of a joint methodology, development of GIS database of aquatic habitats (ponds and bog pools) that was integrated the results of experts on this project and serve as a foundation for future

research and cross-border cooperation and education of target groups through educational workshops and educational field trips for children of the border areas during the project implementation. The effects of the implementation of this project was: creating 1 joint methodology for inventarization of aquatic biotopes; 1 joint methodology for sustainable protection of aquatic biotopes; 1 joint interactive online database of aquatic biotopes in the border regions; 70 geolocated aquatic biotopes with basic data; 2 field trips for target groups and 2 training workshops for target groups; 1 photo exhibition of aquatic biotopes taken during the project; 1 initial conference; 1 final conference; 100 promotional posters, 800 flyers, 300 informational brochures, 2 press conferences; 2 educational routes that connect aquatic biotopes, 1 interactive web portal providing access to cartographic representations of aquatic biotopes.
