Project summary

General cross-border objectives of the project were to raise the level of intergenerational solidarity, by actively integrating all age groups into everyday social life. This has led to the promotion of volunteering and self-organized capacities, and with the effective use of human and other sources, contribute to the lowering of negative effects of demographic changes. In this way, the project has allowed local and regional actors to face the cross-border challenges together with their partners. Specific cross-border objectives of the project were: to improve communication and cooperation activities of socially excluded groups and processes of social functioning; preparation of target groups in an active and independent learning and obtaining information for efficient use of human resources; increase self-esteem and a positive evaluation of all project participants; investing in knowledge, innovation and human resources development, based on informal and formal lifelong learning; development of positive values ​​at the level of intergenerational cooperation, based on ethical principles, universal responsibility and volunteerism; to develop a model of continuous and effective cross-border cooperation.
