MLADIEKOIN – “YOUNGECOIN”

Project summary

Specific cross-border objectives of the project were: to encourage young people to develop new projects in eco-innovation and cross-border cooperation; the integration of Slovenian and Croatian youth groups and cooperation on common objectives, and to promote the exchange of experiences, cultures between them; to develop a number of ideas in the field of eco-innovation, which will be ready for implementation by both sides of the border; the integration of innovative entrepreneurs in consortia, and connect with their cross-border counterparts, to exchange views on innovation and eco-innovation; consortium mentors on both sides of the border and to develop a common methodology, entrepreneurial circles, convenient for both sides; and ready to expand to other border areas; and to establish a system of entrepreneurial circles, which joined with an innovative consortium of businesses, will continue to produce a series of ideas. Direct effects of the project were: methodology and development of business plans via the Internet for SLOHRA area; a designed guide for young people to develop business plans for the SLOHRA area; a contract on the establishment of a consortium SLOHRA; setup of e-forums for young people on the project website; organized project sites in Koper and Rijeka; a plenary forum Novo Mesto; mentors trained to animate young people to develop business plans; young people involved in education; contracts on the sustainability of the project and project ideas of the cross-border eco-innovative products.
