Project summary

Specific cross-border objectives of the project were: to connect the professional public and the interested target groups on both sides of the border and improve the competence of the holders of socio-entrepreneurial ideas in Slovenia and Croatia; support research and development of new products and services, which are commercially interesting, to enable the development of social enterprises and the achievement of higher added value; give support in joint promotion and trade of products of the social economy in the border region; to increase competence, work opportunities and employment of vulnerable social groups in the development promising sectors of the social economy; and to increase public awareness of the positive aspects of the development of social entrepreneurship and employment of persons from vulnerable social groups. The outputs were 4 joint meetings of a joint steering committee, 7 meetings of the core project team, 2 presenting of workshops for networking subjects of social entrepreneurship, 4 workshops for organizations focusing on the development of programs of social entrepreneurship, 2 workshops for institutions of enabling environment, industry-themed conference after the project, 300 collected articles on the development of social entrepreneurship, a study tour reviewing good practices of social entrepreneurship in Pomurje, 2 studies of development of resources and potential, arising from the local environment, 2 studies for the development of new products / services of social entrepreneurship, 2 strategic marketing studies of offers of social entrepreneurship, setting up communication actions for programs of social entrepreneurship, 2.500 pieces of promotional material for the marketing of products / services of social entrepreneurship, 14 promotional events for the trade of products / services of social entrepreneurship, the project team of experts in various fields for maintenance training, two one-day informational and motivational workshops for people from vulnerable social groups, 16 workshops for organic production and processing of cereals, 16 workshops for organic production and processing of fruits, 16 workshops for organic production and processing of vegetables and herbs, 16 workshops for sales of organic products, workshop for the preparation of the program of psycho-social support for employment of persons from vulnerable social groups, 16 workshops for psycho-social support for employment of persons from vulnerable social groups, integrated graphic design of the project, 2 updated websites, 10 images and video archives of events in the framework of the project, 14 information for public on all important events related to the project, 2 press conferences, 2 events for informing (day of open door, the final event), 1.700 promotional materials for informing.

1 proceeding on social entrepreneurship “New challenges and perspectives”;

1 expert conference on the topic of social entrepreneurship;

1 made training program for vulnerable social groups in the area of organic production and processing of grains, fruits, vegetables and herbs;

96 people trained in organic farming and processing, 1.500 participants familiar with the offer of social enterprises.
