Project summary

The project responds the needs and challenges of cross border area by following specific goals: the traditional products craftsmen qualification growth and growth of some agricultural products on common cross border area; the improvement of competitiveness of traditional craftsmen products and some agricultural countryside products on common cross border area; the development of new tourist and for market interesting traditional products and countryside services, related to the common cross border area identity; associating the traditional products and countryside products offers and cross border cooperation; involving the new and existing offers of products into common tourist offer on cross border area; encouraging protection and transfer of traditional countryside knowledge; involving the shows of traditional craft knowledge and skills in tourist offer; protection and revitalization of cultural heritage, related to the mutual cross border area’s identity; the inclusion of the cultural heritage of the common cross border area into national and international environment; the establishment and improvement of tourist infrastructure on common cross border area; the inclusion of the cultural heritage in tourist offer of the common cross border area; the promotion of existing and newly developed countryside products and cultural heritage on common cross border area. Direct effects of the project are: a mutual number of trained craftsmen, enriched tourist offer based on identity of mutual area, established promotional locations with mutual offer. The cross border influence of the project is seen in easier and higher quality exchange of information between the individual craftsmen, growers and providers on both sides of the border; in tighter cooperation between individuals and the exchange of good practices and experiences on both sides of the border. The added value of the project is the cooperation of numerous institutions from both countries and newly established partnerships on the international area.
