Project summary

General cross-border goals of the project were: strengthening of the cross-border identity; the wholesome development of the countryside integral tourist products; an increase of existing touristic capacities on the cross-border area; strengthening of cooperation between the providers on the cross-border area; improving the quality of countryside inhabitants; improvement of employment possibilities; increase of consciousness about sustainable tourism; increasing the number of visitors and tourists on the cross-border area; preservation of the cultural and natural heritage of the cross-border area; the creation of the cross-border product – wellness 3 plus; economic growth and the promotion of new MSP. Specific cross-border goals of the projects were: the development of an organization model of a cross-border tourist as a wellness 3 plus destination, which is recognizable by three thematic packages; training and networking of tourism service providers in the cross-border destination; setting up a networking of tourism service providers in the cross-border area; creation of a joint cross-border tourist products; raising consciousness and educating of providers and carriers of the tourist offer; a fair presentation of a cross-border wellness destination; creation of an overall image of the project; creation of the project webpage; creation of a marketing plan and strategy for the tourist destination; creating promo-material for the cross-border wellness 3 plus destination; creation of a shared cross-border tourist package; participation at tourist fairs; tourist memorabilia; educational workshops; trained local tourist and cycling guides.
