Project summary

Specific cross-border objectives of the project were: raising the general awareness about the innovative measures for conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in the school system; conservation of natural and cultural heritage; and networking of experts in the field of education about sustainable development. The aim of the project was, with the preservation of natural and cultural heritage and protection of nature, to include the strengthening of the territorial identity in the border area. The added value of the project was enlarged by international cooperation, then it would be if the partners implemented the project independently at a regional level, since, in terms of education in the field of natural and cultural sciences, the effects were larger, and the results useful to both sides of the border while including the objectives of the national strategy both states.

334 conducted workshop;

1 designed pilot model of eco program for elementary schools;

3 international camps;

1 international network of teachers of different elementary schools with 40 members;

2 outdoor classrooms;

1 set hayracks;

2 artificially established ecosystems;

1.452 children participating in the project activities;

1 set up gene bank for of autochthonous plant varieties.
