Project summary

General cross-border objectives of the project were: the development of a common cross-border destination “RIVIERA”; the improvement of the image, attractiveness and competitiveness of the cross border “RIVIERA” region, for the achievement of positive effects; ensuring the support of tourism development with the upgraded offer, connectivity and generally better usage of cultural and natural resources; the inclusion of various tourist sources into the cross-border tourist products, with the revitalization and preservation of cultural sources; the increase of demand for all segments of the offer on the cross-border area, throughout the whole year – “365 DAYS OF RIVIERA”. Specific cross border objectives of the project were: to develop an attractive and competitive integral tourist product – cultural tourism – “RIVIERA”; to develop a system of 6 sub-products of cultural tourism; create a pilot image cultural event “RIVIERA across centuries”; to form a professional organisation plan and common marketing platform for marketing cultural tourism “RIVIERA”
