The »RegioStars 2017« competition

The European Commission launched the RegioStars 2017 competition – this annual award celebrates its 10th anniversary this year – for the most innovative regional development projects co-funded by the EU’s Structural Funds, which will be awarded on 10 October 2017 during the Week of European Regions and Cities (OPEN DAYS) in Brussels.

The Award Categories for 2017 are

1) Smart Specialisation for SME innovation
2) Energy Union: Climate action
3) Women Empowerment and Active Participation
4) Education and training
5) CityStars: Cities in Digital Transition

For the 2017 awards, the selected finalists will be invited to attend the RegioStars 2017 Awards Ceremony which will take place in October 2017 in the frame of the OPEN DAYS.

The Managing Authority’s deadline for sending in the most innovative projects to the European Commission is 10 April 2017. Interested Lead Beneficiaries should submit their application preferably in English language until 5 April 2017 to the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat via e-mail to the e-mail address: si-hr.svrk@gov.si.

New version of the guidelines on Eligibility of Expenditure published

New version (version 3) of Part 4 of the Implementation Manual for Beneficiaries was published, which contains the guidelines on Eligibility of Expenditure .

The new, content wise updated version is available in the Implementation Manual for Beneficiaries (Part 4) or in the frame of the Application Pack of the Open Call.

1st workshop on reporting carried out

Within the first deadline of the Open Call for project proposals of the Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Slovenia-Croatia 5 projects were approved. For the beneficiaries of these projects the workshop on reporting was held on 13 February 2017.

At the workshop which was held in Šmarješke Toplice in Slovenia the guidelines on Information and Publicity as well as Reporting guidelines were presented to the participants. The main part of the workshop was the practical demonstration of reporting in the electronic Monitoring System (eMS). In the second part of the workshop representatives of the Croatian First level control presented to the Croatian beneficiaries national rules regarding the reporting.

67 out of 112 project applications received within the second deadline for submission are administratively eligible

On 14 November 2016 the second deadline for the submission of project applications in the frame of the Open Call for Proposals ended. Until the closure of the deadline 112 project applications were submitted. The results of the administrative check are 67 project applications that comply with the administrative and eligibility criteria. Those 67 projects are now subject of the quality assessment.

Projects that did not pass the administrative and eligibility check will receive the Letter of notification with the main reasons for rejection. Projects rejected in this faze have the possibility to submit the revised application again. Next deadline for the submission of project applications is foreseen in the middle of the year 2017.
